LESSONS

WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENS

First of all we will arrange a date and time for a taster lesson.  This lesson costs £19 and is paid for at the time of the lesson.  At this point you are under no obligation other than to pay for the taster lesson. (Please note that children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult during lessons.)

As soon as possible following this lesson let me know if you wish to take up lessons with me and we will agree the time and day these will take place on a regular basis.  These are paid for, in advance, on a monthly basis (currently £64 pcm),

If you decide to take up an ongoing series of lessons you will need to purchase music books for use in lessons (and at home, as this is where all the practising will happen!)  I will let you know which books you need and you can purchase them from me if you wish, or source them yourself.

Of course you will need to practise between lessons if you want to progress, so you will need an instrument to practise on at home. Ideally a piano, but at bare minimum a keyboard with full size keys to get you started.

If you are interested in taking exams in piano or music theory I can prepare you for those and use the London College of Music exam board.

LESSON LENGTH

Lessons are usually weekly and for a duration of 30 minutes.
Longer lessons (45 or 60 mins) may work better as you get more advanced.
Prices are based on 30 minute lessons.

COST

The current charge for lessons is £64 per calendar month.
This gives you 38 lessons a year on a weekday or 36 on a weekend.

A taster lesson will cost you just £19

LOCATION
